DSRs and New Stuff!

Please note this post will only be of (possible!) interest to UK readers, as it deals with UK consumer rules.

So, you have worked out that you can afford your latest gadget acquisition, and of course, you are very keen to get it as soon as possible.  You know it will be cheaper online, but Currys/Comet/PC World/Tesco/etc also have one in stock, and its only a *few* quid more, and you can have it NOW!

HTC Flyer

I just took delivery of a new HTC Flyer 32gb, 3G (and wi-fi) model from Amazon UK. The Flyer is a 7″ LCD screened Android Tablet, although it still runs Gingerbread, which Google themselves say is not Tablet ready. The RRP for this version is £599 which at first glance  looks expensive when compared to something like a Galaxy Tab 7, which is also a 7″ Android Tablet  running the phone version of the OS, Gingerbread, available as a 16GB version with 3g and wi-fi often at £299 or a little more.
