  • I’ve got two bairns under two and a half, and I feel like I have had a cold for the past couple of years ….. I feel your pain Nick.

    Hi Kev,

Didn’t quite understand the concept of the £120 precharged Three sim for £37 off eBay.

You said it comes with 1gig per loaded but then you have to pay to buy chunks of data, eg 7gig for £25.

Does this mean that you have to ‘buy’ the £120 worth of credit again? So would it cost about £25 x 5 + £37 = £162 ish to use the £120 of credit (£125 in my example)?

Could you not just by a few precharged 7 gig sim cards?

Sorry to be dim but I just don’t get the concept.

The 3 mifi sounds great. Think I’ll get one.

    Thanks for the podcast.

    Martin.

Hi Martin, sorry for the delay in replying, the site usually tells me about new comments but for some reason yours did not :-(

Anyway, at the moment it seems my seller does not have anymore of those SIMS, so at the moment the best deals are probably the 3 month / 3GB cards at about £13-£15, or maybe the 12 month / 12gb ones at about £58 (although prob best to buy 4 * £15 3GB ones?)

The way my one worked does sound dodgy now I think about it. It arrived with 1GB to use.

It also had £120 Credit on the account. From that you can top up £15 for 3GB or £25 for 7GB. Only downside is that whatever you choose runs out after 1 month, used or not. I ended up using both a £15 and £25 top up, so my account now has £80 credit left which never runs out *until* I convert it to GBs

Hope that makes sense, will talk about it a bit more on next TTUK (soon)

      Kev
