First thoughts on Nexus 4

So, today I took delivery of a new Nexus 4, courtesy of O2 in the UK who were happy to only take about £110 markup on the Google Play Store price! Now, before
we get into it, is it worth £399? Well, only you can decide, and as we don’t know how long Google will be out of stock, it really depends on how badly you want to try one. All I will say is that if this device had launched at Google for £399, I think most people would have thought it was good value.

In fact, the invoice that comes with the N4 actually says, “Sim Free” and I can report that mine at least was completely unlocked, and I have even seen an O2 tweet to confirm this. Also, if you order this on the O2 site before 3pm, you get free next day delivery, and of course, the all important 7 day DSR returns.

I have played with the Nexus 4 solidly all day, but bear in mind that like many folk, first day “honeymoon” thoughts may well cloud things! (more…)
